The 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe
The Chevy Tahoe has been one of the more popular vehicles since the ‘90’s. It's easy to understand after driving or riding in one. Roomy enough for 9 passengers, plenty of V8 power and a large selection of options, this Tahoe has filled the needs of American families for years now. Especially in Houston, the Chevy Tahoe has been popular with families, executives and business users.
The Tahoe didn’t have much competition when it followed in its big brother’s footsteps, the Chevrolet Suburban. Being smaller and more maneuverable than the giant Suburban established it as America’s SUV. Described by Chevrolet as a “rugged, multipurpose family vehicle that’s home on and off the road”, Chevrolet has made sure it delivers on that description.
Recently redesigned the Tahoe has improved from front to back. The new
interior is much better than previous years both in form and function.
This years Chevrolet Tahoe is the best ever. If you are in the market
for a used SUV, the previous year models make a great family SUV.
Starting with a powerful 295 hp 4.8 liter V8 engine with is standard on the 2WD LS model, you can upgrade to a 320 hp 5.3 liter V8 that is standard on all others and optional on the 2WD LS. The LTZ now has an optional 380 hp 6.2 liter V8 and the Hybrid version has a 332 hp 6.0 liter V8 paired with an electric motor. They can all run on either regular gasoline or the new green E-85 emission friendly mixture. The 5.3 V8 has the new Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation, which turns your Tahoe into a 4 cylinder fuel sipping powerhouse at highway speeds. This works best when coupled with cruise control activated.
The LTZ features a standard GM Autoride suspension that includes load-leveling and automatically adjusts the firmness of the ride based on road and driving conditions. The newest feature is the Chevrolet Z71’s Off-Road Suspension Package on the LT model.
You can carry from five to nine passengers in the new Chevy Tahoe. Seating is available in up to three rows. This years Tahoe has upgraded and improved seating design as well as fabric and leathers.
